At Resilience DBT & Eating Recovery, Ms. Michelle Jacobson, LCSW is a Staff Clinician, providing Individual and family therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults in our comprehensive outpatient programs. Michelle serves as a group facilitator in our DBT skills program, giving in-depth training of the DBT skills , while encouraging and enabling group members to help and support each other to generalize the coping skills into their lives.

As an Eating Disorder Specialist, Ms. Jacobson provides evidence-based treatment, for the full range of Eating Disorders and body image concerns, utilizing FBT, CBT, CBT-E, and DBT-ED. Michelle is passionate about preventative care and psychoeducation related to Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and challenging diet culture and stigma.

Michelle is experienced in working with a variety of mental health concerns, such as Depression, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, OCD, and Insomnia. She is committed to utilizing evidence-based treatments, combined with a comfortable, non-judgmental atmosphere to ensure her clients reach their treatment goals with confidence and empowerment. Her treatment modalities include DBT, CBT, CBT-I, and ERP.

Michelle utilizes her approachable nature to help clients feel safe, comfortable, and motivated in their journey to happiness and growth. Her strengths-based approach with clients ensures they know they are respected and valued as individuals throughout the treatment process. Michelle focuses on her clients as a whole, understanding the importance of improving mental wellness, physical wellness, relationships, and meaning and fulfillment in life, in order for them to develop resilience and to thrive as they move forward in their lives.
